What makes the Nanok sleeping bags unique!
100% insulation
Because the production of Nanok’s sleeping bags and insulated clothing is integrated with the production of the fibrefilling, Nanok does not have to use glue or binder fibres to create durable mats with an excellent performance. Nanok’s mats therefore consists of 100% heat retaining fibres. Most competitors use up to 23% glue or binder fibre, this means that a 80gr/ m² of Nanok mat insulates about as well as about 100gr/m² mats from other companies. Another benefit of this process is that Nanok’s mats can be washed at 60°C without loosing performance. Nanok can also design different properties into the mats as we have the possibility to blend fibres with different thicknesses and properties. We can therefore control the ratio of softness, durability, insulation and loft of the mat. We can also produce different properties in the same mat. Example: We can make 1/3 of the mat on the inside with the priority of a softer feeling towards the body and the outer 2/3’s with th
e priority of durability and insulation. This can be done in a single mat. A 100gr/ m² mat from Nanok has 10 -11 layers, where as our competitors use 3-4 layers to get the same thickness. Nanok’s mats therefore have a more even quality and more insulation as a result of more and thinner layers trapping more air.
3-D sleeping bags
Compared to other synthetic sleeping bags, Nanok's Performance bags are not only produced mummy shaped in plan but we have also introduced a 3D construction with side walls to give the bags a true three dimensional shape, just like humans. The Performance range is designed to offer the room and comfort needed for a good night's sleep when out in the Great Outdoors.
Zips on both sides
Only the Nanok's Comfort - and Endurance bags have zips down the full length of both sides. This makes the bag much more comfortable and gives the opportunity to increase ventilation, makes the bag more easy to get in and out of and means if you use it as a double you still have ventilation zips on the outer edge, unlike conventional bags.
Zipper up
Zipper up from the ground: reduces heat loss and the zipper is more accessible for opening and closing.
The outside/inside
The outside is bigger than the inside, which means that the insulation will not be pressed when you move inside the bag.
Strengthening
Strengthening in bottom and sidewalls, which results in longer living time and endurability.
Nanok produce 3 different sleeping bag series:
Performance
The bags in the Performance-range are one of the most lightweight bags on the market, and have a minimal pack volume compared to performance. The design and choice of material is unique and give maximum comfort and insulation. The bags are produced with fibres or down.
Endurance
Long-lasting performance, great insulation ability and a flexible area of usage makes this series a first choice for special departments in the army, nature photographers andother committed outdoor enthusiasts.
Comfort
A roomy shape and good ventilation makes these bags comfortable in various areas and temperatures. In the Comfort-range, there are both fibre and down bags
