This set was assembled to provide the essential tools required for basic navigation, such as finding your position and your range and bearing to a destination. The set includes a WAYPOINT PLOTTER that in addition to basic plotting is very useful when transferring latitude and longitude numbers from a GPS to a chart. PARALLEL RULES for finding bearing and direction, DIVIDERS for measuring distance and a PENCIL for making notations on the chart and in the navigation log.
