Admiralty Pilots - Harbour & Port Guides of the world
Published in 74 volumes covering all the navigable waters of the world (see coverage diagram above) and complementary to Admiralty charts and other navigational publications. These Admiralty Sailing Directions provide comprehensive information on navigational hazards, buoyage systems, pilotage, regulations, general notes on the countries, port facilities, seasonal currents, ice and climatic conditions. All volumes are updated byweekly Admiralty Notices to Mariners (Section IV) for matters of immediate importance.
These volumes of Admiralty Sailing Directions (Continous Revision) are republished as new editions at 3 yearly intervals and are updated for safety critical information by the weekly Admiralty Notices to Mariners (Section IV). Supplements to the other volumes of Sailing Directions (non Continous Revision) are published at approximately 3 yearly intervals.

The Mariner's Handbook (IMP 100) Includes comprehensive information on the use of charts and other navigational aids, operational information and regulations, tides and ocean currents, meteorology, ice, IALA Maritime Buoyage System. Illustrated with colour photographs and diagrams.

Ocean Passages for the World (NP 136) Provides a wealth of information for planning ocean voyages. It includes a selection of ocean routes applicable to power and sailing vessels with distances between ports and important positions. Details of weather, currents and ice hazards are also included together with numerous route diagrams and chartlets showing the effects of climate, wave heights and load line zones.
