The baskets (rear of the speaker) have been specifically designed for a rugged and wet environment, the cases are made to withstand shocks , water, heat and salt water. If mounted in, locker area for example the baskets will withstand sails, equipment, chain, rope, and even anchor chain been thrown at the speakers, causing no damage.
