Sunglasses for Skiing, Snowboarding and Alpine Walking are made for
environments with high levels of light.
On ski slopes light is reflected from
the snow and therefore t twice the normal amount or UV rays enters your
eyes.
This range of Skiing and Alpine Sunglasses are all 100% UV protective and
filter out up to 90% of natural light, making the eyes more comfortable,
avoiding eye strain and increasing your safety by improving your vision.
teamgb's selective guide to
- For Glacier Walking or gentle Skiing, sunglasses should
filter out up to 90% of natural light; side covers are normally integrated
in this type of sunglasses to help keep UV rays and wind from entering from
around the sunglass frames
- For Skiing and Snowboarding, sunglasses should be extremely
durable for wipe-outs, have optional wind deflectors on the frames and ideally have
a headband attachment so they don't fall off!
- For Minimum Glare, ski sunglasses with polarised lenses are highly suitable for skiing
but will also look great when you are off the piste
